SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) – Tom Brady’s collectibles brand, CardVault by Tom Brady, has opened its first California location at DOCO, just steps from Golden 1 Center, marking a major west coast expansion for the rapidly growing card and memorabilia company.
“California, we’ve been wanting to move our way west over a period of time,” Brady said during the store’s grand opening. “We thought strategically about where we wanted to open, and Sacramento was the first spot.”

The decision, Brady said, came down to the city’s passion for sports and its loyal fan base.
“I know how Sacramento loves its sports teams,” he said. “And even when things aren’t going exactly the way fans want, they still show up. There’s incredible passion here.”
A personal connection to Northern California
Brady also noted that opening a store in Sacramento carried personal meaning. The future Hall of Famer grew up about 90 minutes away in the Bay Area and said returning to Northern California during Super Bowl week made the moment even more special.
“The fact that I grew up close to here made it really special for me to come out,” Brady said. “I’m glad the Super Bowl was in Santa Clara this week so I could visit the location early and see all the fans.”

More than cards, it’s about memories
While CardVault features graded cards, packs, and memorabilia from top brands, Brady emphasized that the hobby goes far beyond what’s inside the cases.
“Collecting is about community,” Brady said. “It’s about engaging with your friends and sharing that experience.”
Brady said his own collecting journey began when he was just four or five years old.
“If I ever had extra dollars in my pocket, I’d save up and go to the local hobby shop,” he said. “I’d rip through those packs, organize my cards by favorite players and teams, and read all the stats on the back. I still have all of them today.”

Those early memories are what Brady hopes CardVault will spark for the next generation.
“To be involved in the hobby as a kid and now later in life in a different way, and to bring the next generation of collectors into it, that’s a dream come true for me,” he said.
Building from the ground up
The Sacramento store marks CardVault’s 11th location, with plans to expand to 100 stores nationwide. Brady said the mindset that helped him win championships is the same one driving the business forward.
“What makes a successful business is what makes a successful sports team,” Brady said. “It’s great people, communication, learning from mistakes, and trying to get a little bit better every single day.”
