RENO, NEV. –San Diego State Track and Field’s Jenna Fee Feyerabend competed in the first day of the Wolf Pack Classic as an unattached athlete in the pentathlon. Feyerabend was dominant across the five events (60-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800-meter run) securing first place finishes in each event except the 800-meter run.

In the high jump her mark of 1.68m was tied among six athletes for a first-place finish with each of them earning 830 points. Arguably her most dominant showing of the day came in the shot put. Not only did Feyerabend win the event with a mark of 14.86m but she was 1.79m ahead of the next closest finisher and earned a new personal best. Continuing the theme of first place finishes, she also won the long jump with a mark of 5.91m leading into the final event of the day, the 800-meter run. It would be the only event that Feyerabend did not take first place in finishing in fourth with a time of 2:22.31.
At the end of the day Feyerabend won the overall pentathlon by over 206 points and set a new personal best with 4,270 total points. It was the seventh consecutive meet in which she eclipsed 4,000 points in the pentathlon.
The second day of the Wolf Pack Classic will begin tomorrow, at 10 a.m. PT with the Aztecs returning to action in the long jump, 200-meter dash and more inside the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
