BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — One person was sent to the hospital after being shot in southwest Bakersfield early Friday morning.
The Bakersfield Police Department said on Friday, February 6, 2026, at around 4:35 a.m., officers responded to a call for service in the 4000 block of Gosford Road for a reported shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a victim who was suffering from a single gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to Kern Medical with minor injuries.
Police said this is an active investigation.
