BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — A body was recovered in southeast Bakersfield Friday morning.
On Friday, February 6, 2026, deputies responded to a canal in southeast Bakersfield after receiving a report of a body in the water. The body was later recovered, according to Kern County Sheriff’s officials.
At around noon, the body was recovered.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office will identify the body.
