Minter Air Field Museum is set to celebrate the Minter Field Army Air Corps Base 84th Dedication Anniversary on Saturday, starting at 10 a.m.
Minter Field received its name on its initial dedication Feb. 7, 1942.
At the museum, there is video of a flyover of Minter Field from 1942, including some of the 450 BT13 training planes.
The museum also features a new exhibit of a ladder from the swimming pool at Minter Field. Johnny Weissmuller, the celebrity American Olympic swimmer known for his role as Tarzan, used the pool and the ladder at Minter Field.
