Award winning vocal powerhouse Meghan “Big Red” Murphy, actress, global cabaret star and world traveler, described as “a cross between Jessica Rabbit and Bette Midler” will dazzle the Orinda Theatre in an evening of songs, sass and stories, chronicling her global wanderlust and songbird shenanigans. Originally from San Jose, the now Chicago-based entertainer has traveled the globe with her electrifying one-woman show, Adventures From A Broad, selling out theaters around the globe. As well as conquering concert stages around the world, Meghan has also conquered the musical theatre world, garnering a multitude of awards and nominations for roles in Anything Goes, La Cage Aux Folles (at The Muny with Norm Lewis), Spamalot , Cabaret and Mamma Mia! Directly after her Live At the Orinda show, Meghan will make her Off Broadway debut in The Wild Party at City Encores, along with Broadway stars Adrienne Warren, Jasmine Amy Rogers and Live At the Orinda favorite, Claybourne Elder.
