The Press-Telegram area will be represented by 16 teams in next week’s CIF Southern Section boys soccer playoffs, led by Warren in the Division 1 bracket.

The Bears are the Gateway League’s No. 3 seed. Warren finished with the area’s highest total ranking of any team that earned an automatic or at-large playoff berth.

Downey, the Gateway League’s second place team, will be the No. 1 overall in the Division 2 playoffs.

Also in the Division 2 bracket, Paramount, the Gateway League’s No. 1 seed, will host Millikan, the Moore League’s No. 1 seed, in an all local first round match on Wednesday, Feb. 11.

Another local match will be played in Division 6. Firebaugh, the Mid-Cities League’s No. 2 seed, host Valley Christian of Cerritos, the Olympic League’s No. 2 seed in the first round on Wednesday.

Artesia, the 605 League’s No. 3 seed, will be the No. 1 overall seed in the Division 7 playoffs.

Second round games will be play on Friday, Feb. 13. Quarterfinals will be play Feb. 17. Semifinals will be played Feb. 21. The CIF-SS finals will be played on Feb. 27 or Feb. 28.
