The body of a Northern California man was recovered days after he was swept into the ocean by a wave at the mouth of the Klamath River, according to the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office.
Maximo Gordon Edward Macanas, 37, was pronounced dead by the coroner’s office at 1:26 p.m. Tuesday after his body was located by a local sport vessel, the sheriff’s office said.
