SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. (KOLO) – On Saturday, Feb. 7, at 10:35 a.m., the California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s wolf tracking map showed northern California sightings in Lassen, Modoc, Shasta and Siskiyou counties.

A California Department of Fish and Wildlife February 2025 map showed the approximate boundaries of gray wolf pack territories based on GPS collar locations, trail camera images, tracks, and sightings in that state.

Areas of wolf pack activity are marked in orange and show the approximate locations where two or more wolves have been detected, but reproduction or persistent use of a specific area has not been documented.

Confirmed wolf packs in northern California include Whaleback, Harvey, Ice Cave, Lassen, Diamond, and Beyem Seyo.

Dispersing wolf activity are not marked on the map.

Packs with poorly-known territories are mapped as red circles with lines, which represent approximate areas.
