SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Ballots have been mailed out to Californians for the upcoming Nov. 4 statewide special election to decide Proposition 50, a measure that would authorize temporary changes to the state congressional district maps in response to Texas’ redistricting efforts.

The deadline to register to vote in the election was midnight on Monday, but eligible voters can still register and vote in-person using same-day registration at their registrar of voters or at any vote center.

Mail-in ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by Nov. 12.
