Gov. Maura Healey in California, rooting for Patriots at Super Bowl 60

Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey is in California this weekend to root for the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 60. It’s a trip she, like other Patriots fans, was not expecting to make at the start of the season.”We knew, with (head coach Mike) Vrabel coming in, it was going to be great. He’s a great leader, great guy, phenomenal coach, obviously. Drake Maye’s second season. You know, there was a lot to look forward to, but I didn’t put money down on this trip,” said Healey. “But isn’t it great?”The New England Patriots were 3-14 last year, but turned things around dramatically this season. They finished the regular season 14-3 and won three playoff games to reach the Super Bowl on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.The game will be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. If the Patriots come out on top, they would be only the sixth squad to follow a losing record with a Super Bowl victory.”Are you getting any flak for wearing the Patriots’ colors?” NewsCenter 5’s Ed Harding asked. “The 49ers, they’ve got this rivalry with Seattle, right? So I’ve had a lot of 49er fans come up to me, saying they were rooting for the Patriots, which is awesome,” she said.
