NARC 410 King of the West Sprint Cars make their only 2025 stop at Bakersfield Speedway at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway on Saturday night October 25th, bringing 900 horsepower sprint cars to the one-third mile dirt track. The Winged Warriors will be joined by Western Midget Racing and So-Cal Dwarfs in their championship finales, plus the vintage racing history with Western Racing Association.

They will be followed by heat races and main events for all four divisions. General Admission tickets are on sale now at www.BakersfieldSpeedway.com. Adult general admission tickets are $25 with kids ages 6-12 admitted for $18 while kids five and under are free!
Fans can also purchase a dual ticket to witness the SPEARS CARS Tour West Super Late Models in the “Harvick Showdown” at 6pm at the paved half-mile Kern Raceway, then head over the adjacent Bakersfield Speedway for dirt track action at 7:30pm. Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway is located at 13500 Raceway Blvd, near Enos Ln and Interstate 5 in Bakersfield.
NARC visited the Kern Raceway dirt track last October, but since then the old Bakersfield Speedway in nearby Oildale closed and its operations transferred over to the dirt track at Kern. The dirt track facility now operates as Bakersfield Speedway at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway. The facility has also undergone improvements since NARC’s last visit, including additional seating.
Things remain tight at the top of the NARC standings with only two events remaining. D.J. Netto of Hanford picked up an enormous victory on October 11th at Antioch Speedway to increase his point lead over Oroville’s Sean Becker, who finished fourth in that race. Just 12 points now separate the two former series champions.
Netto has three NARC wins on the season, including winning both Antioch races. Becker is winless on the season but has been strongly consistent all season and more than once has knocked on the door of victory.
In last year’s October Classic at Kern Raceway, it was San Jose’s Tim Kaeding picking up the victory. Another Kaeding to watch will be Tim’s brother Bud, who sits third in the NARC points. Clovis driver Dominic Gorden ran a strong second in the race at Antioch and set fast time in qualifying earlier that evening.
The Kern Raceway dirt track has hosted numerous sprint car races since opening in 2015. Shane Golobic was a NARC winner in 2022 and the following year it was Corey Day picking up a win there on his way to the 2023 NARC championship. Future NARC champion Justin Sanders picked up a win there in 2021.
Fresno’s Mariah Ede is expected to race and will look to all but wrap up NARC Rookie of the Year honors.
The Western Midget Racing series will decide its 2025 champion on Saturday, led by Santa Cruz driver Logan Mitchell. Mitchell has six victories this season to lead San Jose’s Anthony Bruno by 28 markers. Delano’s Terry Nichols races into his home track from third in the standings. WMR will compete in a 20-lap feature.
So-Cal Dwarf Cars brought out an outstanding field to their inaugural appearance during the Budweiser Nationals two weeks ago, with Nick Velasquez of Camarillo picking up the $1,000 award for the top weekend performance. Bakersfield’s J.D. Brown has starred throughout the season with two wins, two fifth place finishes, and a third place finish in six showings at Bakersfield Speedway. The So-Cal Dwarfs crown a champion on Saturday night following a 25-lap feature.
Western Racing Association brings along a combination of the central valley and Southern California vintage racers for exhibition heat races and main events on Saturday as well.
