A juvenile suspect was arrested after leading police on a stolen car chase across West Sacramento, Sacramento and Woodland. One minor, non-injury crash was reported.

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A juvenile suspect has been apprehended by Yolo County officers after a stolen vehicle collided into a Target store, according to the West Sacramento Police Department.

Officers responded around 1:30 PM after a white Mercedes was reported as stolen. The vehicle was spotted leaving a Target parking lot, and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit was briefly paused after it was deemed harmful to public safety, but air support continued to follow the vehicle, said WSPD.

Yolo County officers resumed the chase after the suspect drove into Woodland. The vehicle was driven back to Sacramento and returned to the previous Target location, where spike strips successfully stopped the vehicle.

After an attempted on-foot bail, Yolo deputies apprehended the suspect around 3:30 PM, according to WSPD. Police say this is the third stolen vehicle pursuit by the same offender, a juvenile male, since November 2025.

One non-injury collision occurred during the pursuit.
