An Ebony Alert issued for an 18-year-old Black woman last seen in Southeast Los Angeles was canceled after the she was located, authorities said Sunday.
Akira Young had last been seen about 1:30 p.m. Saturday at South Broadway and West 119th Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert Saturday on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
She was reported found at roughly 1 a.m. Sunday.
No further details were released.
Ebony Alerts are issued to help locate missing Black children, teenagers, and young adults ages 12 to 25 who have disappeared under unexplained or suspicious circumstances, or who are at risk, developmentally disabled, cognitively impaired or abducted.
