DAYTON – The University of Dayton women’s tennis fell 5-2 to Oakland on Saturday afternoon.
Mallory Hitchcock and Baby Jordan faced a tough doubles match, going to a 12-10 tiebreaker to help Dayton win the doubles point along with Haley Klein and Grace Murphy’s 6-2 win.
Hitchcock also won 6-2, 6-3 in singles, earning the Flyers’ only singles point. Natalie Osiecki, Montserrat Sierra and Jordan all forced their matches to a third set but could not come out on top.
The weekend wraps up with a match against Western Michigan on Sunday at 10 a.m.
