FRESNO, Calif (FOX26) — A swashbuckling new addition is making waves at Storyland as a $700,000 pirate ship is being installed.

Privately funded by a local family who wishes to remain anonymous, the ship was designed and built by a company in Paso Robles known for crafting Disney attractions and statues.

Storyland, which promotes reading and traditional Mother Goose stories, is expanding its offerings with this new exhibit to include STEM learning experiences.
