Sacramento, CA – Today, Reproductive Freedom for All announced Kristin Slevin as the organization’s Senior Director of California Campaigns. In this role, Slevin will lead strategic legislative, political, organizing, and advocacy campaigns in the Golden State, mobilizing Reproductive Freedom for All’s 400,000 California members to engage and educate voters across the state.

Slevin, who began her political career as an organizer for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, brings years of experience in politics, government, and philanthropy. Most recently, she served as the Archewell Foundation’s director of programs and operations, and has held leadership roles at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the U.S. Department of Energy, and in Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s office and presidential and U.S. Senate campaigns.

Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:

“Kristin has deep grassroots experience building winning coalitions and organizing to drive change, and she is the leader we need to power our movement and 400,000 members in California. As Trump and his allies in Congress escalate their deadly attacks on our health and rights, the stakes couldn’t be higher—and California is a beacon for protecting abortion access and defending our democracy. With Kristin’s leadership, California will continue to show what it means to fight and win for reproductive freedom.”

Reproductive Freedom for All Senior Director of California Campaigns Kristin Slevin released the following statement:

“Californians have proven that our voices and votes are powerful, and it’s an honor to join Reproductive Freedom for All to help harness that strength. Our state is on the frontlines of the fight for reproductive freedom in a critical election year, and I’m ready to get to work mobilizing our members to deliver wins up and down the ballot in November. We built incredible momentum with Prop 50, and we’re going to hold anti-abortion lawmakers accountable and elect champions who will fight like hell for our rights, not take them away.”

Since 2004, Reproductive Freedom for All California has worked to advance abortion rights and reproductive freedom through legislative, political, and community organizing alongside our members. This organizing happens directly in communities, with door-to-door outreach, phone banking, online actions, and community events.

Most recently, California members organized to help overwhelmingly pass Prop 50, the ballot measure to protect fair representation in response to Trump’s efforts to rig congressional maps and consolidate power through racially gerrymandered redistricting in Texas. Additionally, members lobbied during California’s legislative session to support 11 bills expanding reproductive freedom, which were all signed into law.
