Woman rescued from Q Street blaze, treated for minor smoke inhalation

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A woman was rescued after a fire broke out on Q Street Sunday afternoon.

The Bakersfield Fire Department said crews were called to a fire on February 8, 2026, at around 2:28 p.m., at 3030 Q Street.

When firefighters arrived, they heard a person yelling for help from inside the burning structure.

Crews made entry, found a woman, and removed her to safety.

Firefighters simultaneously extinguished the fire while rescuing the victim.

The victim was transferred to Hall’s Ambulance personnel, where she was evaluated and treated for minor smoke inhalation.
