BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Library is feeling the love this Valentine’s Day.

Library branches around Kern County will be hosting events to celebrate the holiday.

Fahra Daredia with the Kern County Library joined Eyewitness News Mornings to highlight some of the events happening at your local library.

Northwest Branch Library will be hosting a dance event for kids and teens on Tuesday, February 10 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The “Addams Family” themed “Strange, Sweet and Ready to Dance” event will feature crafts, face painting, music and plenty of dancing.

Attendees are encouraged to come in costume.

The Beale Memorial Library is hosting an event geared toward early learners on Thursday, February 12, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The “Love Bug Bash” will feature a story time, kid-friendly music and hands-on activity stations.
