LONG BEACH, CA — A man suffered life-threatening gunshot wounds in Long Beach Saturday in an apparent road rage shooting.

The shooting was reported at about 10:55 a.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of Palo Verde Avenue, at East Los Santos Drive, according to Long Beach Police Department spokesman Jordan McGinley.

“The preliminary investigation indicates that the male adult victim and a male adult suspect were involved in a minor traffic collision, and the victim led the suspect to an alley where a shooting occurred,” McGinley said.

Long Beach Fire Department paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where he had stable vital signs, McGinley said.

The suspect remained at the scene and was arrested without incident, he said.

A firearm was recovered and the investigation continued.
