BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kegley Institute of Ethics at CSUB is celebrating new leadership and exciting events as they begin the new year.

The institute works to grow the understand of ethics within Kern County through public events that bring knowledgeable speakers to the community.

Dr. Nate Olson is now the Director of the Kegley Institute after being promoted from Interim Director.

Dr. Olson joined ARC Bakersfield to share some of the events that the institute is hosting in the coming month.

On February 6, the institute hosted their “Teaching AI Ethics” Seminar for CSUB faculty and staff.

The event was hosted by Associate Professor Kyung Jung Han and focused on AI in public relations.

The institute will be hosting another seminar on Friday, February 13, at the university.

The “Ethics in Film: Black History Month” Event will take place in the Student Housing East Multipurpose room and will begin at 6 p.m.

This seminar is free and open to the public.

The Kegley Institute’s 11th annual CSUB Ethics Bowl is taking place on Thursday, February 19, at the Student Union Multi-Purpose room.
