SAN DIEGO – The Aztec women’s golf team wrapped up the first two rounds of the San Diego State Classic on Monday. After 36 holes, the Aztecs are in eighth place and are led by Kylie Phi, who is one-over-par.

Phi bounced back from a four-over-par 76 in the first round to shoot a three-under-par 69 in the second 18 to put her in a tie for 16th place. She closed out the day strongly with three birdies across the last six holes. She was especially good on par threes, averaging 2.88 strokes, good for third best on the day.

Manon Martin shot a career-low one-under-par 71 in the opening round with a personal best five birdies. She then shot a three-over-par 75 in the second round. Martin is one stroke behind Phi and tied for 18th place.

Ema Narita had a consistent day, shooting a one-over-par 73 followed by a two-over-par 74.

Stephanie Barbaglia had four birdies and shot a one-over-par 73 in the first round before shooting a 77 in the second round.

Emilia Omander and Emma Delwes, who was playing as an individual, each shot a 155 (+15).

Cal State Fullerton holds a nine-stroke lead, and their Katharina Zeilinger sits in first place with a seven-under-par 137.
