(KRON) — Five people in downtown San Jose were injured in a shooting that occurred Sunday night, according to the San Jose Police Department.
Police responded at 10:47 p.m. to the area of North Market Street and West Santa Clara Street on the report of a shooting following a physical altercation. Officers found multiple victims with gunshot wounds, who were rushed to local hospitals. Two victims in the shooting self-transported to the hospital, while three others were transported by ambulance.
In an update just before noon on Monday, SJPD said the victims were four men and one woman. It is unknown if the victims know each other. All five are expected to survive.

No arrest has been announced in the quintuple shooting. Police believe that there was one shooter.
The incident follows a separate shooting that killed two men just blocks away in downtown San Jose early Sunday. Police responded to that shooting around 2:20 a.m. in the 100 block of Paseo de San Antonio. Both men were pronounced deceased at the scene.

A suspect in the early shooting was arrested away from the scene later Sunday, SJPD said in an update on Monday. Authorities believe that there was an altercation before the shooting occurred.
The suspected shooter was not identified as of Monday morning.
SJPD called each shooting an isolated incident.
