Valentine’s Day may be, along with Halloween, our most glowful and incandescent holiday.

But a different sort of shimmer will lend the 14th of February a fanciful feel in 2026, and a free feel, too: Attune 1.0, a one-night-only art happening, will bring a blissful and peaceful expression of art, through light and sound, to a number of prominent Southern California locations.

Presented by NXT Art Foundation and Arup, Attune 1.0 will spotlight eye-catching and/or ear-catching works by several artists, with installations and events gracing Barnsdall Park, Hansen Dam, Leimert Park, and other spots around the city and beyond.

The ethereal enchantment begins at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 14, just ahead of sunset, giving any art-loving lovebirds ample time to stop by a park, or even two, to take in the beauty of the moment before heading to Valentine’s dinner.

Or simply building a memorable evening outing around Attune 1.0 may be just the holiday magic a couple, a group of friends, an individual, or a family is looking for.

“Attune is the future of public art, a multidisciplinary cultural platform amplifying artists across disciplines and connecting us in a collective experience unlike anything before,” shares Carmen Zella, producer of Attune 1.0.

“I envision Attune expanding into a series that forever positions Los Angeles County as a trailblazer, a beacon of cultural inspiration when unifying, uplifting, and positive experiences are most needed.”

“Art is a beacon of hope, a reminder that beauty exists in all of us, and that our connection to one another is the most power medium of all.”

Locations in Long Beach, Altadena, and Culver City are on the roster, too; check out the full line-up, more about the artists, and what to expect, at the powerful public art spectacular.

It’s open to all ages, and families are invited to stop by their closest Attune 1.0 location, or somewhere further afield, to find inspiration, joy, and serenity.
