COSTA MESA, CA — The 5-year-old child who played a younger Bad Bunny during the Super Bowl halftime show is from Orange County.

Child actor and model Lincoln Fox Ramadan appeared during the anticipated show, which drew an estimated 135 million viewers.

In the scene, Lincoln — dressed in a collared shirt and khaki shorts — watches television footage of Bad Bunny accepting his Grammy award for album of the year. The singer then walks over to the boy and hands him the award.

Lincoln’s appearance went viral online, with many users incorrectly identifying him as Liam Conejo Ramos, a 5-year-old Minnesota boy who was detained by ICE last month.

“An emotional, unforgettable day being cast as the young Benito — a symbolic moment where the future hands the past a Grammy,” Lincoln’s family wrote on Instagram. “A reminder that dreams come true and that it’s never too early to dream big. Sending love to Liam Ramos. We all deserve peace and love in America, a country built by and home to so many hard-working immigrants.”

Lincoln, who is a student at Newport-Mesa Unified School District, was also praised by district officials on social media.

“Shout out to #NMUSD student, Lincoln, who had an unforgettable moment at the Super Bowl Halftime Show!” District officials wrote on Facebook. “What an amazing experience on the world’s biggest stage!”
