MADERA, Calif. (KFSN) — A dream to serve and protect has become a reality for one local man.
CHP Madera announced recent academy graduate Leonardo Reyes-Leon.
The 26-year-old from Fresno completed the CHP Academy last Friday.
Reyes-Leon is a first-generation Mexican-American who previously worked in agricultural fields before starting his journey with the Highway Patrol.
He thanked his family, the CHP applicant preparation program, and the mentorship he received.
Reyes-Leon will now be heading to Oakland for his first assignment.
