A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday morning in a collision in Long Beach.
The crash was reported just after 6 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Anaheim Street and Linden Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
“Upon arrival, officers located a male adult motorcyclist lying on the sidewalk,” according to a police statement. “The driver of the other vehicle and officers rendered aid to the motorcyclist. Long Beach Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.”
According to police, the rider was going eastbound on Anaheim Street when he entered the intersection at Linden Avenue and collided with a 2020 Mercedes-Benz that was making a left turn onto southbound Linden from westbound Anaheim Street.
“The motorcyclist collided with the Mercedes-Benz, and he was ejected from the motorcycle,” police said.
The driver of the car cooperated with the investigation.
