SAN DIEGO – The Aztec women’s golf team wrapped up the San Diego State Classic on Tuesday. The Aztecs finished in eighth place and were led by Kylie Phi, who finished with a one-over-par 217.

Phi finished T-11th, her third top 15 finish of the year. In the final round Tuesday, she had 15 pars and an eagle on the 475-yard par five second hole, to finish with an even par 72. She finished the tournament with 41 pars, the most in the field.

Phi was the only golfer to have more pars than Ema Narita, who tallied 39 pars in the tournament, and shot a one-under-par 71 Tuesday, her best round of the tournament. In her final round, she had 15 pars and one birdie to help her finish in 16th place, her fourth top 20 finish of the year.

Freshman Manon Martin shot a career-low 224. After shooting her first below par round Monday, she finished with a six-over-78 in the final round to tie for 25th

Stephanie Barbaglia finished one stroke behind Martin with a 225. She had a three-over-par 75 Tuesday, which included an eagle on the 524-yard par five fourth hole.

Emilia Omander finished outside the scoring with a 239 and Emma Delwes, who was playing as an individual shot a 244.

Cal State Fullerton won the tournament with a 12-under-par 852 and their Katharine Zelinger took home the individual championship with a nine-under-par 207.
