BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Kern County Employers’ Training Resource is highlighting programs that help job seekers build new skills.

The “Skill Up America” program provides workers from a variety of industries with training that will help them gain more skills to advance in their careers or transition to a new one.

Resources are also available for displaced oil and gas workers.

An information session about no-cost programs and services for displaced oil industry workers is being held on February 25 at 9 a.m. at America’s Job Center of California on East Belle Terrace.
