Three people with active arrest warrants and criminal history were arrested in San Dimas after a deputy found them inside a car with no front license plate, authorities said Wednesday.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the deputy, who was on patrol, spotted the car behind a closed business Arrow Highway near Acacia Street Tuesday.

Finding their presence suspicious, the deputy called backup and began searching the car.

The suspects, two men and a woman, turned out to have criminal history and arrest warrants issued against them. Deputies discovered stolen mail, narcotics as well as some ammunition inside the car, the sheriff’s department said.

Some of their previous crimes included identity theft and robbery, officials said.

The men were held at no bail Wednesday as prosecutors with the LA County District Attorney’s office reviews the case.
