The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Thursday for the 15th consecutive day, increasing 2.3 cents to $4.577, its highest amount since Dec. 10.
The average price has risen 22 cents over the past 15 days, including 1.8 cents on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 11 cents more than one week ago and 20.7 cents higher than one month ago, but 14.5 cents less than one year ago.
The average price has dropped $1.917 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price also rose for the 15th consecutive day, increasing 2.1 cents to $4.497, its highest amount since Dec. 10. It has risen 25.4 cents over the past 15 days, including 2.4 cents on Tuesday.
The Orange County average price is 11.5 cents more than one week ago and 25.7 cents higher than one month ago, but 21.5 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.962 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose for the ninth time in 11 days, increasing seven-tenths of a cent to $2.944. It has risen 7 cents over the past 11 days, including 1.6 cents on Wednesday. It rose five consecutive days, dropped two-tenths of a cent on Saturday and one-tenth of a cent on Sunday and resumed rising on Monday.
The national average price is 5.3 cents more than one week ago and 14.8 cents higher than one month ago, but 20.5 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $2.072 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
