A 45- year-old man killed in a shooting that wounded two others in East Los Angeles was identified by county authorities Thursday.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office identified Hector Garcia Rojas as the victim who was fatally shot.

The shooting was reported around 5:50 p.m. Sunday in the 4000 block of San Carlos Street, at East Cesar E. Chavez Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Garcia Rojas and the two wounded men were taken to hospitals, where Garcia Rojas died and the other two were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Information about suspects, a vehicle or motive was not immediately available.
