A Shelby Township man accused of shooting and injuring a coworker at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital has pleaded to criminal charges.
At a Feb.10 hearing in Oakland County Circuit Court, Robert Paljusevic, 22, pleaded no contest to assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon and felony firearm for the March 20, 2025 shooting in the hospital’s parking garage.

According to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office, Paljusevic reportedly fired seven shots at the other hospital employee, striking him twice, after the victim left his shift. Paljusevic and the victim were reportedly friends.
Paljusevic fled in his vehicle and the victim went to the hospital’s Emergency Department for treatment. Paljusevic was subsequently arrested at his home, and has been in custody at the Oakland County Jail since March 23, 2025.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 17 by Judge Victoria Valentine. Paljusevic faces up to life in prison for the assault charge, and up to five years for the carrying a concealed weapon charge. Felony firearm carries a penalty of two years incarceration.
A no contest plea is not an admission of guilt but is treated as such for sentencing purposes.
