BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect connected to a burglary investigation from Christmas Eve.

According to police, the burglary happened on December 24, 2025, in the 6600 block of Sycamore Wood Lane.

Investigators say the suspect broke into a victim’s vehicle and stole a garage door opener, which was then used to gain access to the victim’s garage.

Once inside, police say the suspect took power tools and hand tools before leaving the area.

The suspect is described as a male, last seen wearing a medical mask, a gray sweatshirt, and dark-colored pants.
