Burglar steals power, hand tools at southwest Bakersfield home: BPD

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Police are asking the community for help with identifying a man who burglarized a southwest Bakersfield home on Christmas Eve.

Officers with the Bakersfield Police Department said the suspect broke into a car at a residence in the 6600 block of Sycamore Wood Lane and stole a garage door opener which then gave them access to the garage.

The suspect stole several hand and power tools, according to police.

Police are describing the suspect as a male wearing a medical mask, grey sweatshirt and dark pants. Surveillance camera footage shows the suspect in a compact black SUV.
