TRUCKEE, Calif. (KABC) — A 26-year-old Los Angeles man has been identified as a skier who died near Lake Tahoe last week, authorities confirmed.
Nicholas Kenworthy died Feb. 6 at the Northstar California Resort in Truckee, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
The resort confirmed the deadly incident, only describing it as a “skier incident on the advanced Martis Trail.” Details on the type of accident or injuries sustained by Kenworthy were not available.
“Northstar California Resort, Northstar Ski Patrol, and the entire Vail Resorts family extend our deepest sympathy and support to our guest’s family, loved ones, and friends,” Tara Schoedinger, Northstar Vice President & General Manager, said in a statement.
