Law enforcement activity underway in Mather area on Thursday, Sacramento sheriff says

Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of at least one gunshot being fired on Thursday in the Mather area.The law enforcement activity is happening on McRoberts Drive. The sheriff’s office said a person reportedly fired a gun and that they are barricaded inside a home, believed to still be armed. A domestic violence victim is with deputies and is safe.Deputies are using an armored vehicle known as a Bearcat, drones and other “military equipment” in response to the standoff. SWAT team members are also arriving to the scene.This story is developing. Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of at least one gunshot being fired on Thursday in the Mather area.
The law enforcement activity is happening on McRoberts Drive.
The sheriff’s office said a person reportedly fired a gun and that they are barricaded inside a home, believed to still be armed. A domestic violence victim is with deputies and is safe.
Deputies are using an armored vehicle known as a Bearcat, drones and other “military equipment” in response to the standoff. SWAT team members are also arriving to the scene.
