SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Police say they arrested an East Bay man in connection with a fatal shooting Wednesday morning in San Francisco.
Sefanaia Alatini, 37, of Oakland, shot and killed a man just before 9 a.m. in the 100 block of Turk Street, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
Officers arrived at the scene and found the wounded man. They rendered aid, including CPR, until paramedics arrived and took over, police said.
Despite their efforts, the man died at the scene, police said. His identity was not immediately released.
It’s unclear what led up to the shooting or whether the two men knew each other.
Alatini was identified as a suspect and police developed enough probable cause to take him into custody on suspicion of murder, being a felon in possession of a firearm and being a felon in possession of ammunition, police said.
