Saniyah Neverson and Ritorya Tamilo led four Hawaii players in double figures with 13 points and Tamilo added six rebounds and three blocks to help the Rainbow Wahine pull out an intense 61-54 win over Cal State Bakersfield tonight.

A Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center crowd of 804 saw Hawaii make a season-high 25 free throws on 86.2% shooting. The two teams combined to commit 44 fouls and attempt 46 free throws in a physical battle.

Hawaii won for the seventh time in eight games to move back over .500 in conference play at 7-6 (13-10 overall). The Roadrunners dropped to 7-17 and 2-12 with their seventh loss in eight games.

Tamilo, who played only 18 minutes, was 9-for-10 from the free-throw line. Keiara Curtis, who finished with 10 points, was 8-for-9 from the line.

Bailey Flavell, who had 12 points, splashed a 3-pointer from the right corner in front of the UH bench with 17 seconds remaining to ice the game by putting UH ahead seven.

UH scored 23 points off of 18 turnovers forced.
