Banducci’s Family Pumpkin Patch, a beloved local attraction for over 30 years, continues to draw visitors with its family-friendly atmosphere and a wide variety of pumpkins. Trish, one of the daughters of the owners, highlighted the patch’s appeal: “First of all, of course, the pumpkins. But I also think it’s the family atmosphere out here. Kids of all ages can find something.” The patch features a petting zoo and pony rides on weekends, providing a rustic farm experience for visitors.
Despite initial challenges in growing pumpkins, Trish noted that her brothers have perfected their technique, resulting in a successful crop this year. “They grow all the pumpkins and try to provide a variety of pumpkins for us,” she said. She also noted that her brothers are the masterminds behind this year’s corn maze that you can also experience as their pumpkin patch.
The pumpkin patch is also a haven for photography enthusiasts, offering hundreds of photo opportunities, including areas with straw, scarecrows, and even a hidden Cinderella pumpkin. “Everywhere is a photo op around here,” Trish said.
Visitors can also enjoy the scenic pond, home to ducks and fish, adding to the patch’s charming atmosphere. Banducci’s Family Pumpkin Patch is open until Halloween, closing at 4 p.m. on the holiday to allow staff to spend time with their families. Located in Old River on Taft Highway, the patch is a must-visit destination for fall fun.
