Burglary suspect crashes into Metro bus in Westlake District – NBC Los Angeles

A suspected burglar crashed into a Metro bus and other vehicle while running away from the alleged crime scene in the Westlake District of Los Angeles on Friday.

The burglary happened near Miramar Street and West 3rd Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

When officers caught up with the suspect on 6th Street near Bixel Street, the person crashed into a Metro bus and at least one other car, the LAPD said.

Six people suffered minor injuries, the LA Fire Department said.

It was not immediatley clear whether officers were in a pursuit when the suspect’s car crashed.

At least one person was taken into custody.
