BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — A red carpet, catered dinner, makeup stations, and even paparazzi were part of a prom-style celebration in Bakersfield on Thursday night, honoring people with disabilities.
Crossroads Christian Fellowship church hosted the 11th annual Night to Shine event, joining other churches around the country in celebrating people with special needs by giving them a prom experience.
One group traveled from Tehachapi to attend the event.
