The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground delay at about 8 a.m. affecting flights into the airport. The advisory was cleared before 10:30 a.m.
Flights destined for San Diego’s airport were taking off on average 30 minutes later than usual, the FAA said. Flights departing San Diego were using an east flow pattern, taking off inland instead of their usual westbound flight path.
