The Sacramento Police Department have released videos from a deadly officer-involved shooting that followed a bank robbery near a shopping plaza across from Cal Expo.

The shooting happened on Jan. 29 after officers responded to the 1600 block of Response road for a report of a bank robbery in progress. Police said a man — identified as 56-year-old Andrew Baima — robbed a bank and ran off with cash.

Officers said Baima had a gun and pointed it toward them. That’s when two officers fired, police said.

Authorities said officers performed CPR and provided emergency medical aid until Sacramento Fire Department crews arrived.

Once fire crews arrived, they took Baima to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

After the shooting, police said they discovered the gun Baima pointed at officers was fake.

The two officers involved in the shooting were not injured. The incident remains under investigation.
