Re “AG Bondi berates Dems at House hearing” (Feb. 12): “Berate”? I don’t think so. What I heard was obfuscation, evasion and the dodging of legitimate questions by members of the U.S. House of Representatives. In her ongoing role as one of Donald Trump’s chief sycophants, Bondi managed to hurl insults and make light of the serious matters at issue. Despite being in office for over a year, she refused to accept responsibility for anything, continuing to blame the Biden administration and “liberal activist judges” for everything. She created an ugly scene that was beneath the dignity of the head of the Department of Justice.
In an exchange with Bondi, Rep. Becca Balint, D-Vermont, mistakenly referred to her as “secretary.” Bondi shot back, “I’m the attorney general,” to which Balint quickly retorted, “My apologies, I couldn’t tell.” Well said.
