We’ll never be able to transport back to the era when tangly and tasty vines of juicy berry goodness gave a certain Buena Park plot such panache, but we can attend a snacky springtime festival held in the fruit’s fabled honor.

That would be the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival, a purple-y, palate-pleasing party that features a lot of boysenberry-centered sips and dishes.

Really, “a lot” doesn’t go the distance here: The 2026 event, which will run for about a month, each and every day, will have over 100 boysen bites and beverages on the menu.

Or menus, rather: The meals, treats, and libations will pop up at various places throughout Knott’s Berry Farm during the festival’s month-long engagement.

Debuting items include a Spicy Boysenberry Bulgogi — Thousand Island dressing, a Reuben ball, green onions, and steamed rice add spicy and sweet zing — and an upside-down cake that includes the traditional pineapple as well as, oh yes, boysenberry.

Look for a Boysenberry Paloma, a Boysenberry and Kiwi Lemonade, and other flavorful drinks to add a refreshing note as the weather warms up.

As for boysen-bright attractions and diversions? “Knott’s Preserved,” a “musical journey” covering the park’s succulent history, and the Boysen Bear’s Pie Eating Contest are among the fruit-fun activities and draws.

And the Boysenberry Festival Crafts Fair is a long-running gem, a shop-around spot full of purple-cute goods, wearables, and home goods.

The festival begins March 13, with a wrap-up on April 12. Your park admission gets you into the shows and more but bring some bucks for all of your berry-devoted dining.
