Lunar New Year, celebrated in February, is a time centered around renewal, family and good fortune. To help celebrate the holiday, Zen Modern Asian Bistro in Del Mar Highlands Town Center’s Sky Deck has created a special Lunar New Year menu that incorporates meaningful dishes meant to be enjoyed together, family-style.
Available from Feb. 17–23, the menu includes three family-style feast options designed for group dining. The Prosperity Feast ($188), which serves four people, includes pork potstickers, vegetable egg rolls, cucumber salad, mapo tofu, Sichuan string beans, chow mein, and stir-fried shrimp.
The Fortune & Abundance Feast ($298), serving six people, features Sichuan pork dumplings, wonton noodle soup, cucumber salad, black pepper beef or tofu, Sichuan string beans, wood ear mushroom salad, yang chow fried rice, and baby bok choy.
For larger celebrations, the Grand Lunar Celebration Feast ($418), which serves eight people, offers an expansive spread, including a pu pu platter with cream cheese wontons, shrimp tempura, barbecued spare ribs, envelope chicken, and beef skewers, along with Sichuan pork dumplings, cucumber salad, wood ear mushroom salad, salt-and-pepper shrimp and scallop combo, mapo tofu, Sichuan string beans, vegetable egg rolls, Hunan sea bass, chow mein, and yang chow fried rice.
