The start of the 2026 Warrior Spirit 5K Run

The Mitchell Thorp Foundation held its 17th Annual Warrior Spirit 5K Run/Walk & Family Festival on Feb. 7 at Carlsbad’s Poinsettia Park. The event supports families whose children are battling cancer, rare diseases, and critical medical conditions by providing financial, emotional and resource support to their desperate situations, according to a news release.
The event featured food, vendors, and entertainment before and after the race, including a DJ, bands, a kids’ area with inflatable jumpies, performance groups, a spectacular aerial entry and more. For additional information on The Mitchell Thorp Foundation, visit www.mitchellthorp.org
