Rochester schools have posted their timeline and application process to fill their open board seat.
Candidate applications and resumes must be received by 12 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27.
The board will identify applicants who will move to the interview round during a regular meeting held on Monday, March 9 at 6 p.m. at the RCS Early Childhood Education Center, 3838 N. Rochester Road.
Applicants do not need to be present. Those applicants identified to continue with the interview process will be notified.
A special meeting will be held Monday, March 23 to meet candidates, conduct public interviews, and select a trustee.
This meeting will replace the regular meeting originally scheduled. There will be an open house at 6 p.m. to meet the candidates, followed by candidate interviews at 6:30 p.m. and the subsequent appointment of a trustee.
Interviews will be broadcast on RCS cable television.

Board President Jessica Gupta’s resignation will be effective March 1. Her term was set to expire Dec. 31, 2028.
When the appointee takes the oath of office, their term will begin immediately and continue through the November 2026 election.
