Fresno, CA – Injuries were reported in an incident where two vehicles collided and the impact sent one of them crashing into a coffee shop in Downtown Fresno on Thursday night.
A preliminary investigation found that a black truck failed to stop for a red light at the intersection and collided with a red Dodge Challenger. The truck then left the roadway and careened into the side of the coffee shop, before crashing into a tree.
Both vehicles were left with major damage and had to be transported from the scene.
Emergency medical personnel evaluated the parties involved in the crash. Some of the patients reportedly had minor injuries.
The crash shattered to the storefront of the shop but the business resumed it’s normal operations on Friday. No employees or customers were involved in the accident.
Whether speed, alcohol, or distracted driving played a role in the crash was not specified. The Fresno police are still investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
